Almost a year out, with heavy use, many kilometers, this boot is a big win!

I first bought two of the Be Lenka Winter 3.0 in early 2024. First was the matte black nubuk leather, which was so comfortable in below freezing weather, that I bought the smooth leather version for work I do that involves kilometers of walking and carrying heavy loads at times. Both have been stellar. The soles look new despite all the walking.

I followed advice and sized up from the size chart size 38 to a size 39. As I have high arches, I did have to remove the insoles and wear thinner socks. Now the wool has compacted and I can wear the insoles. My bare feet measure 23,5cm, but with 10cm toes, and high arches, so finding shoes that fit is always a struggle. The shoe laces seemed short at first, but they stretch quit a bit and are now long.

The quality has been outstanding, like the best of vintage, but with foot shaped and flexible. Others in my family have also bought Be Lenka and have been very happy.

This pair I ordered so I can alternate between three boots. I wish Be Lenka would make the Winter 3.0 with a leather lining for the rest of the year, or a shoe version with all leather lining. Or work shoes with this shape that have toe protection.

These are the boots. These are the perfect, winter, warm, barefoot boots I've been searching for, for about 2 years. I've ordered and returned from a few different barefoot companies. I've tried on multiple boots. I've kept my old non-barefoot ones (which are worn out and hurt my feet) for far too long, even re-soling them twice, because I couldn't find a suitable replacement. But the other day, I was in a Trader Joe's grocery store and I saw someone wearing these boots, and I asked her about them. She highly recommended everything about them, I loved the way they looked, and the fact they are lined with merino, I loved the color and everything. So I hurried home and ordered them. They arrived quickly, and they are perfect. I love everything about them, and wearing them makes me so happy!!! I can finally throw away my old boots!

These boots are awesome. I wear them daily for my outdoor adventures with my rescue dogs from Unega mountain dog rescue. I average 30,000 steps a day. They have been warm dry and staying together perfectly. I did waterproof the leather with suede spray waterproofing out of the box. I will be buying them again in the future. Also, customer service is amazing. Best functional zero drop shoe on the market for colder weather.

These boots are amazing. The warmest zero drop, wide toe box shoes I have found by far! Perfect for the winter here in Colorado. The wool insulation is very warm and keeps my feet cozy even at 20 degrees F (-6 C). Also thank you Be Lenka for using natural materials like wool instead of polyester, so no harmful chemicals are going into our body through our feet! In summer I have thin and light barefoot shoes, but not yet for winter. My previous “normal” shoes feel too tight, so I was looking for some with a wider toe box. I found a few in the shops and they were ok, but not good enough and I didn't like them. The soles were also not zero and too firm.

So I searched for winter barefoot shoes online and found your site and my shoes: the Be Lenka Winter 3.0. It is made of fine quality and with my first steps in cold and winterly environment and I have had very warm feet because of the very warm wool inside.

Your size chart helped me with my selection (normally I wear size 43 with a max. foot length of 272 mm and bought one size larger - fits perfectly).

I love these boots! I’ve only been wearing a week but so far the grip is very impressive on snow. It keeps my feet pretty warm with the wool. The shoe itself looks very flattering, however I do have quite a short (23.0), wide (9.2) and somewhat tall feet. Therefore mastering the sizing was hard for me with the given measurements. Even with the insulation removed, there could have been just a little more space. Sizing up would be out of question, since this shoe size (38) provides almost 2 cm free space in front of my toes and next size would be too long.
All in all, I hope the shoes will mold to my feet shape better within use and I expect them to keep me warm during the upcoming Nordic winter!

This are by far the best footware I have ever owend. They are a little expensive but well worth it in the long run. The quality is amazing and they have so far lasted me two years of wearing them every day for fall and winter and I exect to use them for another year. Even after two years of continuously wearing them they are still so warm, soft and cozy. I'm known for wearing out regular shoes within a few months and these still look almost brand new to me, even the treads. The only things negative I can say is that barefoot shoes tend to stand out a little because of their shape and these shoes are a little gender nuetral compare to normal shoe styles. So I have gotten a couple comments about those things but I really don't care because that comes with wearing barefoot shoes.

I love these boots, but will never get to wear them. Ordered the wrong size, asked to exchange for my proper size, but the company will not take returns from my country. I offered to pay the shipping myself, but they say 'their system cannot accept returns from outside the USA'. This is a terrible excuse to avoid helping a customer. The awful customer service has ensured I cannot buy anything from this company again, which is very sad because I was looking forward to buying not only these boots, but also 2 more pair. The shipment arrived super fast! I can see the material is high quality, warm and water resistant. Super comfortable like where has this been my whole life? Sizing according to the table, for me it was a size up. Only personal thing I don’t like is after some time I noticed ( I have been wearing them every day for 12 days now), putting them on is a bit annoying because you need to untie half of the shoes to get your foot in. It takes a minute to get into the shoe. I would personally prefer if there was a zipper. But rest is great, I would reorder again and I definitely recommend it :)

I love these boots! They can be worn without socks and with thinner socks on days when it's a bit colder. Where I live in Canada, there are some very cold winter days, but there are also winters days when i could easily wear them without socks. I wear a US size 8 shoe, and I purchased a 39 in this shoe. I have three other pairs of Be Lekna, and the 39 just fits the best in the length.

The only thing I would change about the shoe is for longer laces.

I am genuinely pleased with the Winter 3.0 shoes. I can confidently say that these are the best shoes I've ever owned. They are warm, light, flexible, aesthetically pleasing, and truly barefoot. This is why I promptly ordered a second pair, hoping that these shoes will serve me well for a couple of years.

However, they're not the easiest to put on; I have to loosen the laces quite a bit, and it takes some time. Nevertheless, it's no biggie, and I'm getting used to it.

In conclusion, after a month of wearing my new shoes, I am more than satisfied and would recommend them to anyone.

What's bothering me and hindering my complete transition to Belenka for all my old shoes is the delivery and customs costs. DHL delivery costs about $40, and the tax is an additional $40—a substantial surcharge.

In this context, it would be appreciated if the Belenka outlet could provide customers in Switzerland with a more affordable delivery option or even offer a self-pickup option in Bratislava.

I usually wear a 39 and ordered a 39 based on the reviews here. But it was too tight for me, due to my high volume feet. I decided to keep them and sell because costed too much shipping them back. So, my advice is size up if you have a medium/high volume feet .

tl;dr: slightly darker in color than the photo, dont forget to condition the leather, the insulation is fantastic, you'll probably want to size up, especially if you like wool socks, and the lugs are great for traction but the outsole is very soft. 5/5 I'll buy more belenka shoes in the future.

Darker in color than they appear in the photo, which for me is great. Especially after conditioning, which I suggest you do, they have a really pleasant deep brown color. The laces they come with are a little flimsy, so I switched them out. While I was a little concerned about their similarity in shape to an Ugg boot, the leather is quite soft, forms to the feet and adds texture, and thankfully does not look like an Ugg.

The primary selling point-- their insulation -- checks out. I've only had my pair for about two weeks, however I have already had the chance to wear them in 20 F (-6 C) temperatures and walk around in snow. My toes stay dry and toasty, even without wool socks. They are a little warm indoors, however, if you remove the wool insole they cool down fairly quickly.

Speaking of the insole, I read some suggestions which advised on sizing up. After measuring my feet (I'm American), I thought I did just that, however it seems with the lining they're just a little bit snug. I typically wear a size 10 (for instance, in lems primal zen). However, I was able to switch out the insole with a slightly thinner one (from a size 9 lems canvas chukka), and it fit in perfectly, and also, gave my feet enough room. Of course, they're leather so they'll likely stretch a bit more as I wear them, which I intend to do frequently.

Finally, the lugs on the outsole offer good traction in dirt and snow. The outsole is very soft, so I suspect it will wear down after a few months. However, they protrude from an indentation in the outsole, so even after they become flush with the side profile, you'll still probably get okay grip. But a harder rubber would be a nice improvement.

I have just received the boots in walnut color. They are very well-made, nice design, the boots seem warm and they are really comfy. But the color is a lot darker than I expected. First I thought I got a different version, but not. For me, these are too dark, I don't like this color.

I usually wear size 39 in barefoot shoes. By following the measurement instructions, I was recommended to order size 40. For the fear of them being too large, I ordered size 39. The pair has just arrived. It fits as it should with medium thickness merino wool socks on. I would not want to have it in a larger size. I have a thin foot and a low arch and I'm particularly happy that there is no bulge around the ankles when you're walking with them on. Some shoes in other barefoot brands have that effect. My experience is that this pair is snug where you want it to be snug and roomy where you want it to be roomy. Amazing! Can't wait to wear them outside!

Just received them and they are REALLY well made. I just wish they were like 10% wider. My feet are 25x10 and number 40, length-wise, is perfect, but my middle feet is being smashed more than I expected.

It is my first Be Lenka shoe and I thought they were one of the widest brands. Maybe it is this specific type of sole.

Another aspect that I would improve is the shoe lace length. They are ~170 cm long, but, in my opinion, they should be at least 200 or, ideally, 220 cm long. It is impossible for me to lace it through all the hooks and still manage to tie it properly.

TL, DR: Overall an awesome boot, but if you have really wide feet these are not for you.

I just received these today! This review is my initial thoughts. I love the wool lining (it was a big selling point for me.) The boot is cute and looks nice on. However, I struggled with sizing. I went quite a bit larger than normal because of the size guide. Normal is 38, I ordered 42. I needed the shoes wide enough, but that made the boots too long. So they are comfortable but I have an inch of extra room above my toes. I will be exchanging them. The edge on top is rough and will require tall socks. The sole is only glued on and not sewn.

Die Schuhe sind sauber verabeitet, die Sohle ist erstaunlich griffig.
Ich habe die Schuhe um gut eine Größe höher bestellt (44 statt 42,5) - so passen sie perfekt, die Zehen haben auch beim Bergabgehen ausreichend Platz. Dadurch, dass der Fuß und die Zehen bei jedem Schritt "durchgewalkt" werden und arbeiten müssen, ist der Schuh auch bei ordentlich Minusgraden wunderbar warm. Nach oben hin wärmt das Fell-Innenfutter.
Einzig der relativ hohe Preis hindert mich noch daran, die Schuhgarderobe komplett umzustellen.

Bardzo ładne i stylowe buty - znajomi zwracają na nie uwagę, również bardzo wygodne. Jedynym mankamentem jest ciepło. Mam słabe krążenie w stopach więc bardzo szybko robi mi się w nie zimno. Niestety cienka podeszwa powoduje, iż "ciągnie" od spodu i czuje zimno w dolnej części stopy. Może zakup dodatkowej wkładki z wełną merynosa zniweluje tę niedogodność. Niemniej polecam.

Ich war lange Zeit treuer Anhänger einer anderen bekannten Barfußschuh Marke. Allerdings hatte sie mich bei den Wintermodellen nie richtig zufrieden gestellt. Daher bin ich seid einiger Zeit schon auf der Suche. Ich bin mit dem Schuh von be Lenka bisher (ca 10 Tage) sehr zufrieden. Im Gegensatz zu anderen Barfußschuhen ist die Sohle wesentlich dicker sehe ich aber insbesondere im Winter nicht als Nachteil, da man so wenigstens Profil hat. Die Versandkosten und Rücksendebestimmungen (auch wenn rechtens) finde ich etwas traurig. Bei dem Preis erwarte ich leider was anderes. Alles in allem bin ich aber sehr zufrieden.

Alles Top! Gut verarbeitet, warm und kuschelig drinnen, das einzige ist das optische...man muss sich gewöhnen dass sie so breit sind, aber dafür haben Füsse wirklich viel platz. Ich bin sehr zufrieden. Ich habe sie nur bei Temperaturen bis ca 0-4 Grad ausprobiert und sie waren noch warm genug. Bei starken minusgraden weiß ich nicht ob sie standhalten wegen der barfuß Sohle die natürlicherweise dünner und flexibler sein muss als konventionelle Schuhe.

Boty jsou krásné a velmi! pohodlné. Opravdu, jako v pokojíčku. Kůže má krásnou barvu a líbí se mi i materiál tkaniček. Jsou to mé první BF boty a nemám srovnání. Jediné negativní je,že opravdu kloužou. Sebemenší vlhký chodník a podrážka na něm nedrží,není to ani bezpečné a měl by to výrobce již začít řešit. Je to uvedeno u hodně hodnocení, i přesto jsem se rozhodla tyto boty pořídit a nelituji toho, jen by to chtělo řešit. U dalších bot budu opatrnější a další klouzavé boty nekoupím.

Toto sú prvé topánky, ktoré som od vás kúpila. Sú výborné. Ďakujem, že vyrábate takéto perfektné topánky. Bolesť v členku ma prinútila si ich kúpiť, ktorá do značnej miery ustúpila. Pomohli teda ako prvá pomoc a celkom budem rada, keď bude problém iba v správnej obuvi. Čas ukáže. Jeden malý detail ma však sprvoti trochu mrzel, že v oblasti palca sú trošku nižšie. Mám hrubšie palce a tie sa mi zhora mierne dotýkajú o topánku. Dá sa to však zvládnuť, lebo topánka netlačí, iba je tam menej priestoru. Inak sú priestorovo dobré, chôdza v nich je veľmi pohodlná, úžasné. Veľmi sa teším, že ich mám.

Super bequem, super warm, Optik gewöhnungsbedürftig, für mich bei so einem Schuh aber zweitrangig. Was mich sehr ärgert ist, dass mir 2x Versand berechnet wurde, da die Schuhe zu unterschiedlichen Zeitpunkten geliefert werden sollten, ich sie dann aber am selben Tag und in einem großen Paket geliefert bekam. Die Schuhe sehen zwar deutlich breiter aus als gedacht, aber das ist besonders aus der Perspektive von oben als tragende Person der Fall. Es ist aber der bequemste Winterschuh, den ich je hatte! Langes Stehen, Einkaufstouren und Spaziergänge endlich ohne schmerzende Füße!! Sie halten die Füße dabei wirklich herrlich warm. Dicke Socken zusätzlich waren bisher nicht nötig.
Ich muss allerdings Sterne abziehen, da ich es bei dem Preis dich ziemlich frech finde, dass bei der Bestellung von 2 Paaren 2x Versand berechnet wurde und die beiden Paare dann auch noch in einem Paket zeitgleich ankamen!! Sowas finde ich sehr unverschämt und würde darum bitten, dies zu ändern und den zu viel berechneten Versand zurück zu zahlen.

Moje prvni zimni barefooty. Jsou skvele! Pohodlne a hlavne jsou za me extremne teple. V zime v noch neni absolutne zima. Nepromoknou ani ve snehu a do mesta jsou skvelou volbou. Die Qualität und Verarbeitung der Schuhe wirken sehr Hochwertig.
Der eine Stern Abzug ist Aufgrund der Rückgabe, das man das Porto selbst zahlen muss. Ich hatte mir zwei Paar Schuhe bestellt eins in der Größe 39 und das andere Paar in Größe 40, weil ich mir unschlüssig war was wohl passen würde. Für den Preis hätte ich erwartet das es vom Händler getragen wird.

Voglio prendermi il tempo per valutare queste fantastiche scarpe. È da una settimana circa che indosso le Barefoot scarpe invernali Be Lenka Winter 3.0 - Chocolate e... Wow! Il numero 43 è perfetto per i miei piedi ed è il numero che porto solitamente. Il piede sta caldo, non suda, non puzza ( e non puzzano neanche le scarpe) e le dita hanno il giusto spazio per muoversi in libertà. I materiali sono davvero premium. Che altro dire... Sono le scarpe che ho sempre sognato. Soldi spesi bene.

Na začátek plusy, jsou velmi pohodlné, teplé, dobře se obouvají. Po prvním dni nošení velké nadšení. Poté jsem si ale začala všímat pár věcí. Když nedávno pršelo, tak velmi klouzaly, opravdu si je neumím představit na ledě. Mám z nich vlhké ponožky, což bych od bot s membránou nečekala (lehký déšť, venku přechod na MHD a domů - cca 10 minut dohromady). Tohle všechno bych asi ještě překousla, ale že se mi takto drahé boty a v podstatě na první dojem kvalitní, začnou rozlepovat po měsíci nošení, to mě vážně překvapilo. Rozlepily se přesně tam, kde se to dá očekávat - v místě největšího ohýbání se odlepila podrážka (na obou botách, takže teď budu lepit 4 díry). Nějak nerozumím tomu proč nejsou lepené i šité, jsem z toho rozčarovaná. Myslela jsem, že budou na několik let, s takovou to vidím na jednu sezónu.

Sehr schöner und bequemer Winterschuh. Die Sohle ist biegsam und hat ein gutes griffiges Profil. Das matte Obermaterial lässt sich gut abwischen und reinigen. Die Zehenbox ist definitiv angenehm weit. Wie in einigen Kommentaren empfohlen habe ich die Schuhe eine Nummer größer bestellt und bin sehr froh darüber. So passen sie bei Bedarf auch mit dickeren Socken und lassen sich trotzdem fest genug binden um guten Halt zu haben. Ich habe die Schuhe jedoch noch nicht länger im Einsatz.
Mein einziger Kritikpunkt betrifft bisher die Optik. An den seitlichen Nähten steht die Sohle etwas ab, das sieht optisch natürlich etwas komisch und nicht so schön aus.
Dennoch alles in Allem ein toller schöner Schuh.

When choosing the size of shoes, it is necessary to consider other aspects in addition to the shoe size chart (foot physiology - shape, toe width, instep, and others) that can have an impact on how the shoe will fit your foot.

How to measure your foot correctly?

Place a blank A4-sized paper on a flat, smooth and even surface.
Step onto the paper with all your weight on the leg.
Use a pen/pencil to mark the heel and the farthest point from the heel (beware, it may not always be the big toe)
Measure the distance between these two points on feet with a ruler (the difference can be ± 0.5 cm)
The number obtained is the length of the foot
Add an extra 0.5 cm (ideal leeway) to the length of the foot, and you will get the ideal size of your shoe.
Find your shoe size per the above measurements by referring to the size chart for each product on our website.
